Kraftwerk at Keller Auditorium

Kraftwerk is still on tour with two original members of the band. Over the years, the group has recruited talented performers to whom the entire electronic music genre is indebted. These guys began experimenting with synthetic sounds way before this was a thing that covered mainstream music like it does today. They walked so others could run for sure! This is one of the reasons why this show is able to capture so many different elements. Many of the visuals, for example, that you'll get a chance to see on Sunday, April 6th, were modern in the 70s and 80s and now look like they belong in an old sci-fi movie. Kraftwerk originally leaned into a lot of cold war tensions. They still bring some of those elements back, which is great.

While you still have the nostalgic element covered with the visuals and the original tracks, there are also modern electronic music beats in their current set lists. That means that you can party to Kraftwerk just as much as you could to any other DJ that's going to be taking the stage at the Keller Auditorium this year. Sure, the show can feel like you're stepping into a time capsule that's dropping you in the middle of the Reagan years. However, there was still time to party in those days. There's no question that if you set your mind to it, you're going to have a blast on Sunday, April 6th. It's going to be hard to find any other performance headed to Portland that's going to bring as much to the table.

Finding yourself next to the stage is always a good idea at the Keller Auditorium or any venue, for that matter. However, when Kraftwerk is involved in the festivities, it could be a better idea to find a spot in the middle of the venue and further back.
