Falstaff at Keller Auditorium

The opera Falstaff reimagines Shakespeare’s Henry IV and The Merry Wives of Windsor. Falstaff follows Sir John Falstaff. After misfortune, he comes up with a plan to seduce Alice Ford and Meg Page (the wives of two very wealthy men) for his own financial gain. This leads to a number of plots and counterplots between Falstaff and the other characters. The result? A hilarious cocktail full of fun and mischief, but also confusion and deceit. Throughout this show, you’ll find yourselves rolling on the floor with laughter!!

Both composer Giseuppe Verdi and librettist Arrigo Boito shied away from the typical dramatic approach. Falstaff will be played by big-time actors and singers, including Darren Drone (Sir John Falstaff), Kearstin Piper Brown (Alice Ford), and Rehanna Thelwell (Mistress Quickly) among others. This all-star lineup will also be joined by the masterful Nicholas Fox and David Radamés Toro as the conductor and stage director of the opera, respectively.
