This winning formula in its storytelling and theatrical score has led to the hit broadway musical earning 8 Drama Desk Awards, 11 Tony Awards, and a 2016 Pulitzer Prize.

Lin-Manuel Miranda created Hamilton as a way to convey the story of "America then, as told by America now". Hamilton builds on this goal by casting minorities to act the Founding Fathers such as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Alexander Hamilton. Trey Curtis, Jared Dixon, Tamar Greene, and Stephanie Jae Park are just some of the many minority performers who currently bring Hamilton to life.
