If you're looking for a folk/country music event that packs a bit of a harder punch, then you need to head to the Keller Auditorium in Portland on Tuesday, May 20th. Jason has been one of the more consistent members of the Southern rock movement in the sense that he's putting out albums every few years. Variety magazine's online version recently did a piece on Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit's show in LA. There, you'll find plenty of clues of what you can expect come Tuesday, May 20th, in Portland, Oregon. This show in the Spring of 2025 will be a lot further away from the release date of his 2023 album Weathervanes. That's actually a good thing because by the time May rolls around, he'll probably only play the tracks from his latest album that are getting a reaction from fans instead of using the show as a promo vehicle. "The most reliable subscription in the music business. Every three years (formerly two, but who’s counting), he issues a record almost exactly as world-class as the last."
That speaks to the aforementioned status as one of the more consistent members of the Southern rock movement.
