Keller Auditorium
If you're looking for a folk/country music event that packs a bit of a harder punch, then you need to head to the Keller Auditorium in Portland on Tuesday, May 20th. That's when Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit will be taking the stage. Jason has been one of the more consistent members of the Southern rock movement in the sense that he's putting out albums every few years. Every time that he comes out of the studio with new music, fans seem to love what he's putting out.
This all means that when he hits the stage at the Keller Auditorium, he'll have plenty of tracks to choose from to get the crowd up off their feet. Jason's been touring with The 400 Unit for a few years now, but you can expect to hear songs from his work as a solo artist on this night at the Keller Auditorium as well. If you want to have a chance to catch Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit live, hit that get tickets button now.
Variety magazine's online version recently did a piece on Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit's show in LA. There, you'll find plenty of clues of what you can expect come Tuesday, May 20th, in Portland, Oregon. This show in the Spring of 2025 will be a lot further away from the release date of his 2023 album Weathervanes. That's actually a good thing because by the time May rolls around, he'll probably only play the tracks from his latest album that are getting a reaction from fans instead of using the show as a promo vehicle. Variety calls Jason Isbell,
"The most reliable subscription in the music business. Every three years (formerly two, but who’s counting), he issues a record almost exactly as world-class as the last."
That speaks to the aforementioned status as one of the more consistent members of the Southern rock movement. Another thing that the folks at Variety mention is that the set lists for these concerts are super interchangeable. If you happened to catch Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit at another stop earlier in the year or even in 2024, it will still be worth it to head to the Keller Auditorium on Tuesday, May 20th. You already know that Jason Isbell's music library is an extensive one, and he's not afraid to pull out anything out of his bag of tricks. Of course, you've got songs like "Cover Me Up" and "If it Takes a Lifetime" that are pretty much a lock every single night he hits the stage. You gotta give the fans what they want, after all!
Even though there are plenty of great seats inside the Keller Auditorium for this event, the pit area may still be where you can have the most fun. Now, if you're looking for a laid-back experience without as much jumping up and down, a seat in the upper deck from a centered position may just be what the doctor ordered for you. Make sure to click the get tickets button soon before some of these spots start running out.
