Since the musical's creation in the late 1900s, Les Misérables has gone from becoming a small unknown production found in Paris, France to one of the most highly-awarded and fan favorite shows in the entire world. Over the previous four decades that the musical has been running, the show has been produced in 53 countries, in 22 different languages, and has been watched by over 130 million people worldwide.
In April, the musical’s next season arrives in a new location in Portland, where Les Mis will be held in Keller Auditorium on Saturday 4th April 2026. Keller Auditorium was made to be a landmark of the city as the unrivaled entertainment venue of Portland, containing well-executed interior, from stage to seats, that is sizeable enough to hold a play of this standard, while also having adequate services that are available inside the theater.
Les Misérables revolves around the story of Jean Valjean, an ex-convict desperately wanting to start anew after he gets away from the law. His full story, and the relationships he builds along the way, are staged with everything lyricized from the start to the end of the incredible show. Les Mis being fully sung-through is a clever manner of execution that the play has over other known theater productions, and is the primary cause why each individual song performance never fails in its objective of depicting each personal struggle in every phrase or lyric performed.
It's no wonder that due to this method, Les Misérables is also full of impressive song numbers. Interestingly, despite the myriad of tunes that can be witnessed in this grand musical, every cast member in the stage adaptation is given a chance to shine, with each discrete number showing the vocal range of each actor. Not one single person who has attended Les Mis can fail to recall Fantine’s “I Dreamed A Dream”, which brings with the song a deep tragedy and has been used endlessly by acclaimed artists in present-day cinema. “Bring Him Home” also passionately closes out the conflict in our beloved characters, unveiling the selfless heart of Valjean's character in just one absolutely awesome number.
Les Misérables will only be available in Keller Auditorium, Portland for a limited time and on Saturday 4th April 2026; tickets are presently up for grabs via our ticketing partner by using the links that can be found above this page.
