Wardruna, the Norwegian conceptual Nordic Folk group who has been tearing up the scene on the world stage and bending the genre to its knees, is coming to Oregon!

We are ready and excited to welcome Wardruna on their World Tour 2025 to Portalnd’s Keller Auditorium this Fall on Thursday, September 11th, for a once in a lifetime, never before seen show at the venue. Wardruna, which means “the guardian of secrets” and “she who whispers”, knows how to make a splash. Despite their name, their booming vocals have been reverberated around the world, and shaken up the Folk scene at its core. Folk music, which literally means music that follows the cultural traditions of the authors and that has been passed down from father to child, has never had a more true author than Wardruna. Members Einar Selvik, Lindy-Fay Hella, Arne Sandvoll, HC Dalgaard, Eilif Gundersen, and John Stenersen, are all of Norse heritage and the group was formed in Bergen in 2003. They have released multiple projects since then, and most notably, composed the score for the show Vikings season 2. Their albums have gone #1 on Billboard’s world charts, and they have toured both Europe and America extensively since they started. Now, on heels of their fifth studio album Birna (which means bear in old Norse), has already received major critical acclaim from Noizze UK, Metal Insider, Norway Rock Magazine, and The Guardian.
Speaking on their new album and sound, Wardruna has said “[the album is] a sonic journey into the woodland realms of the bear and its cyclic life rhythm. May it resonate and may the nature of the bears inspire you as much as it has inspired us.”. And its critical reception has been positive as well. Hannah May Kilroy of Kerrang! magazine wrote that "Wardruna may be at odds with the modern world, but, perhaps, they are exactly what the modern world needs,”.
Wardruna is known to have live sets that rarely mimic the exact same sounds we hear in their music on streaming platforms, so what they may play at Keller is truly unknown. However, here is their last setlist from their set the Palais Theatre in Melbourne, Australia back in January from the first part of their World Tour:
